On Thursday 5th March 22 children took part in the large school's quick sticks hockey tournament.We had 4 teams in the competition, with teams 1 and 3 playing in league one and teams 2 and 4 playing in league two.
Team 1 won all of their league games to finish top of their league and progress through to the final
Team 2 finished third in their league, just missing out on a place in the 3rd place playoff.
In the final, we took an early lead against St Andrew’s and looked to be heading for the win until with seconds remaining St Andrew’s launched a final attack and were awarded a penalty goal as Harry’s desperate dive blocked a goal bound effort with his body. The game went in to extra time and we really stepped up our play to run out winners by 4 goals to 1.
